Oreana
Blanc de Noirs: The first bubbly effort from
the Oreana Winery. This Pinot Noir-based sparkling wine
was produced in the extremely time-consuming methode Champenoise,
just like they do in the Old Country. Dry, pink and thirst
quenching,
this wine IS summer in a bottle.

Oreana Verdelho: Verdelho
was once Portugal's most common white wine, but centuries
of market trends towards chardonnay have left it nearly extinct
. . . until now. With the flavors of tropical fruit and guava,
and the supple body that makes Viognier so seductive, Verdelho
is destined for popularity. A wonderfully rich honey-suckle
wine that goes great with Asian cuisine, spicy foods and sushi,
this wine will be gone before most people know what they are
missing.

2005 Oreana Viognier - Mendicino County:
She is on old
friend, this Viognier, a real class act. Both Chardonnay and
Viognier share tropical fruit flavors and a creamy mouthfeel,
but Viognier has a much more distinctive fruit character.
It also has a deep golden color, and a rich intense flavor
of pear, peach and violets that accompanies the summer cuisine
of the backyard grill.

2007 Project Happiness Chardonnay:
Satiny, ultrarich and deeply complex,
with layers of floral, butterscotch, fig, apricot and pear
flavors that are impeccably balanced; while the flavors are
bold and concentrated on the entry, this wine turns amazingly
elegant and sophisticated on the finish. Goes great with summer’s
bounty on the grill

2007 Project Happiness Syrah:
Vibriant violet like colors quickly please the eye
as a burst of tropical fruit flavors rain down on the tongue.
The finish reminiscent
of dark arabica beans with an earthy truffle undertone. Vineyard
charateristics
shine through bright as a raven's eye.

2005 Oreana Pinot Noir "Central Coast":
A stunning array of blue and black fruit--blackberry,
boysenberry, blueberry and currant--that is pure, driven and
refined, with licorice, sweet spice, vanilla, mineral and
sanguine notes flittering throughout. Despite its concentration,
it's remarkably elegant, with superb length and a seamless
finish.

Tilly: Santa Ynez Valley Red Table Wine -
Sangiovese 60% Cabernet Sauvignon 40%
It seems as thought everyone has an Italian grandmother,
or at least wishes they did. Matlida
Maglio was mine -
everyone called her "
Tilly." She had all the
stereotypes: great cook, feisty spirit,
New york accent, pearls of wisdom despite no formal education.
. .
She was my link to a bygone era, when
families lived within blocks of each other,
not miles apart. A time of
stickball in
the streets and live eels
in the bathtub on
Christmas Eve.
Ravioli were laid out to dry on clean bed sheets and family
meals
never ended, just paused occasionally to flip the
Guy Lombardo record.
After a long life of food, song and
wine, our beloved Tilly fell to the curse of Alzheimer's
disease. This blend of Sangiovese
and Cabernet Sauvignon, in the traditional Italian
style, is a tribute to her zest for life, and raises funds
for the people who help fight this
disease. We hope you enjoy it as Tilly would - with family,
food, and people you will
never forget.
